Status pages
Free Status pages
Yes. Every Project has a Status page, on every Plan, Free included: a public page that tells your visitors whether your sites are up. It is there from the start, with nothing to publish, and it updates itself from your Monitors.
Questions before then: support@uup.dev
What your visitors see
One line at the top answers the question they came with: is it working? Under it, each Monitor you placed on the page says Operational, Down, Not monitored or No data, over a bar of its uptime day by day. The Incident history below says what was down and for how long, in plain words.
A warning, such as a certificate that expires soon, never shows on the page. Your visitors see an outage, and only once it is confirmed.
Yours to shape
- Which Monitors it shows, and in what order. A heartbeat starts off the page, since a backup job is rarely your visitors’ business.
- Your logo and an accent color.
- Search engines: the page can turn up in search results, or you can ask search engines not to list it.
- Status badges for one Monitor, to paste in a README or on your own site.
What Free does not do
Free cannot use a domain of your own, and its page always shows “Powered by You Up?” at its foot. Every paid Plan can serve the page at a name such as status.example.com, and turn that line off. From Small up, you get 3 Projects or more, each with its own page.
What no Plan does yet
There are no subscriber notices and no announcements yet: visitors cannot sign up to hear about an Incident, and you cannot post a message or a planned maintenance on the page. What the page says comes from your Monitors alone.
Your Status page, in the DocsQuestions
Do I have to publish anything?
No. The page is there from the moment you create a Project, at an address on our Status domain. Place the Monitors you want on it, and it is ready.
Can I use my own domain?
On every paid Plan. The page is then served at a subdomain you own, such as status.example.com, once two DNS records are in place.
Does the page show response times?
No. It shows whether each Monitor is up, its uptime, and the Incident history. Response times stay in your dashboard.
What happens to the page if I move to a smaller Plan?
It stays. A Monitor your new Plan no longer covers keeps its place on the page, and reads Not monitored.
