You Up? vs Better Stack
You Up?’s Free plan is for any site, a business’s included, not only for personal projects. And every Plan is flat: one price a month, with the people who get alerts included, so you never pay again for each one of them.

Free is for any site
Put your business’s site, a client’s site or a side project on Free: it is the same Plan, with no rule about what you watch. Free holds 5 Monitors and 5 heartbeats, checked from one location, and needs no card.
Flat Plans, the team included
Each Plan has one price a month, and the people on your account are part of it. Small, at $9 a month, holds 3 Members besides you, and a bigger Plan holds more. Adding a Member to your account costs nothing while your Plan has room. Every paid Plan has every feature: a bigger one holds more Projects, Monitors, heartbeats, locations and Members, and nothing else changes.
SMS and WhatsApp spend Credits, and every paid Plan includes some each month. The price of the Plan you bought never rises while you keep it: see the price lock.
Woken only for a confirmed outage
When a check fails, the location that ran it tries again. If that fails too, the Monitor’s other locations look at once, and an Incident opens only when they confirm it. Every paid Plan watches from five locations. Free watches from one location, so on Free we try again before we tell you. How a failure is confirmed says more.
Where it stopped, in plain words
Every alert says how far the request got, about your own domain, such as “acme.com did not answer.”, and gives one next step. When the next step is your hosting provider’s, a report is ready to copy into their support ticket. Where a request stopped shows every place a request can stop.
When Better Stack is the better choice
Choose Better Stack if one of these matters more to you:
- You want on-call duty and incident management in the same product as your monitoring. Better Stack builds on-call scheduling, incident management, logs and traces into the same product. (betterstack.com/pricing, checked 17 October 2026)
- You want phone-call alerts. You Up? alerts by message, not by phone call.
- You want screenshots of what failed. Better Stack checks as often as every 30 seconds, and takes screenshots of errors. (betterstack.com/pricing, checked 17 October 2026)
- You want logs and traces beside your uptime checks. You Up? watches your sites, jobs, certificates and domains. It does not collect logs.
